What to expect when you commission or purchase a piece
Every piece I create — whether it's an original painting, a signed print, or a custom commission — gets my full attention and care. I take pride in the details, and I don't consider something finished until it genuinely feels right.
For commissions, I love when clients share reference photos, ideas, or even just a general feeling they're going for. The more I know about what you're envisioning, the better I can make it. I'll keep you updated throughout the process and won't hesitate to ask questions if it helps me get it right.
I package every piece carefully to make sure it arrives safely, and I'm always happy to answer questions before, during, or after your purchase. Feel free to reach out — I genuinely enjoy hearing from people who connect with my work.
Subjects, styles, and what inspires each piece
My main focus right now is nature — wildlife, landscapes, rivers, and the kind of quiet scenery you find deep in the Arkansas Ozarks. Growing up surrounded by woods and water has given me a lot to work with, and I try to capture that sense of stillness and beauty in every piece.
That said, I paint a wide range of subjects. I've done horses, dogs, portraits, buildings, and more — mostly through commissions where someone has a specific vision they want brought to life. Those projects push me in ways that pure nature work doesn't, and I've grown a lot from them.
Watercolor is my medium of choice. I love how unpredictable it can be — the way water and pigment interact on the page often produces something better than what I originally planned. I work on professional-grade archival paper with artist-quality paints, so the finished pieces hold up beautifully over time.
